Phytium Tengyun S5000C-E Wins "2026 Strong Chip TOP 100" Innovation Breakthrough Award

August 25, 2026

On August 20, the 6th Integrated Circuit Design Innovation Conference & Application Exhibition was successfully held in Nanjing. At the conference, the Phytium Tengyun S5000C-E processor was awarded the "2026 Strong Chip TOP 100 – Innovation Breakthrough Award" for its outstanding performance and technological innovation strength.

The "2026 Strong Chip TOP 100 – Innovation Breakthrough Award" was established by the China Integrated Circuit Design Innovation Alliance to recognize outstanding products that have achieved major technological breakthroughs in integrated circuit design and hold significant industrial value and market competitiveness. Following rigorous multi-dimensional review by an expert committee, the award evaluates candidates across dimensions including technological innovation, product performance, market application, and ecosystem development.

In this year's selection, multiple domestic chips stood out, and the Phytium Tengyun S5000C-E earned high recognition for its leading single-core performance and system-level optimization capabilities.

The Phytium Tengyun S5000C-E is a new-generation high-performance server CPU launched by Phytium, targeting high-computing-power scenarios such as cloud computing, big data, core databases, and large model training, providing powerful and energy-efficient computing support for data centers and critical applications. The model integrates 80 self-developed FTC862 processor cores with a clock frequency exceeding 2.6 GHz, delivering more than 50% improvement in computing performance over the previous generation. Adopting a single-NUMA architecture with Mesh network interconnection, the chip effectively reduces cross-chip access latency among multiple cores and supports high-speed interfaces such as PCIe 5.0 and DDR5, offering the advantages of high concurrency, strong throughput, and low power consumption.

Since its launch, mainstream domestic server vendors have introduced more than 50 server products based on the Phytium Tengyun S5000C-E, covering general-purpose servers, AI servers, and storage servers, and widely applied in key sectors such as government affairs, finance, telecommunications, energy, transportation, and public security. Among them, the Tianyi Cloud platform built on this chip achieved a score of 168.2 in the internationally authoritative SPEC Cloud IaaS 2018 benchmark, ranking first globally and setting a new world record.

This award fully reflects the industry's high recognition of the technological strength and industrial value of Phytium's new-generation server CPUs. Phytium will continue to increase R&D investment, continuously optimize product performance, and work hand in hand with ecosystem partners to further expand the application of its products in key industries, striving to form a positive cycle of "good usability – more feedback – faster iteration" and contributing to the healthy, high-quality development of China's integrated circuit industry.
